Neri Choma, MA, CBE, CBD, CHT, is a proud mother of three girls, a birth doula, a childbirth instructor (from the philosophy of Active Birth, by Janet Balaskas), a group facilitator and a life coach. Her whole practice is dedicated to the care of women, supporting and empowering them as they go through their various life transformations. Neri established the first doula support program in a major hospital in Israel in 1998, and founded a birth resource center there. Coming to live in the Bay area in 2002 she started as a Blossom volunteer, and after two years of activity served as Blossom's Co-director until 2006. These days she is teaching childbirth classes at Blossom and continues to support women as a birth doula. For the last couple of years Neri expanded her work with women and became a women's life coach. She is practicing life coaching in person and in women's groups. As a childbirth instructor she focuses on the doing, and spends a lot of time practicing for the birth. As a life coach she explores the being in birth with her students- ideas like being with pain, being with the experience of birth, and re-framing the way we think about the nearing birth in order to make the desired experience come true.
