Tania Varela-Ibarra

Tania Varela-Ibarra’s yoga classes are uplifting while her teaching style is down to earth. She invites her students to practice with healthy alignment, awareness of their breath and a gentle smile on their face. For over 10 years Tania has taught yoga to a wide variety of folks in a wide variety of places from yoga centers to schools, from athletes to social workers, from corporations to senior centers and now to mommies and babies at Blossom Birth. She was first certified to teach by the Integral Yoga Institute in New York City and went on to study and teach at Om Yoga under the direction of Cindy Lee. Tania has also completed teacher trainings in Restorative Yoga, Vinyasa Flow and Pranayama (Breath Awareness Practices).

Since moving to California in 2006, Tania has received a diploma in Ayurveda as a Lifestyle Counselor from the Mount Madonna Institute and has been certified as a Khalsa Way Prenatal Yoga teacher by Gurmukh at Golden Bridge. Tania is deeply interested in the ways in which Yoga and Ayurveda can support and nourish women in pregnancy, birth and motherhood.

Tania is mom to Hiro Paxton Dickens born April 4, 2010.
